I received my first few postcards from Postcrossing - one from Brazil and one from an Italian living in Germany, but vacationing in Malta.

Surprisingly, we found two new chairs for the house here.  There's a small shop amid this chaos that sells vintage mid-century modern furniture.  The rest of the place looks and smells like my grandmother's basement.  Stay tuned...

ice for a clusterhead

Several years ago I was diagnosed with cluster headaches after years of suffering.  The latest cluster cycle has begun and I've been ramming ice into my eye, even though it doesn't help.  Today I was hit repeatedly by one attack after another.  If I make it through four or so weeks of agony, I should be home free until the cluster starts again next year.

We're having a hard time selecting paint colors and laying out furniture in the new house, so I started building this SketchUp model of the lower level.  It didn't help us decide on anything.

We're connected!  Notice the jumble of cables required for our wireless service.  Also notice the ridiculous number of jacks on that wall - two triples and that black one has space for 12 more phone/data lines. We're convinced that the previous owners were running an internet p*rn business from their bedroom.

Someone has been stripping our tomato plant clean of all the fruit. Everyday the newly ripe tomatoes disappear.  This thief must be stopped!  I sacrificed this guy (he had a rotten spot in the back) and when I got home and checked on Mr. Tomato Head?  He had been eaten!

We inherited this playground when we bought the house.  I decided that today was the day to try it out myself.  Not only did I almost get stuck, but I nearly killed myself going down the slide.

One of the fun parts about moving in with someone is finding out what kind of stuff they have.  And look at this HAT I discovered in one of Larry's boxes!  Do you know what kind of a hat this is?  You wear it under a hard hat to keep your head/ears warm in winter.  Of course as soon as I found it, I had to put it on.  Oh this will provide HOURS of entertainment!
