Made our annual pilgrimage to the Museum of Natural History to see my favorite exhibit: Nature's Best Photography Awards.

We went down to the National Mall to check out the kite festival. It was neat, but I was sorry not to have a zoom lens to get some better photos. All those dots in the sky are kites though.

First we saw Control at the E Street Cinema, then we had a fancy dinner at Butterfield 9. (I had ostrich, Larry had elk. Yum!) A perfect and much needed date night!

We saw these cool lotus blooms at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. They have these crazy seed pods that look like alien showerheads.
