a very lame fourth of july


Our intention was to walk down to the Potomac to watch the fireworks - but it rained and we were all lazy, so we watched them from the roof of a friend's condo.  But it was so cloudy that they were hardly visible.

anything but pleasant


Remember the 3 1/2" needle in my hip joint? I went to Sinai Hospital in Baltimore today and got the 3 1/2" needle again - in BOTH hips! (But afterwards we stopped for ice cream-which makes everything better.)

We saw Spiderman 3, ate some nasty french fries, chicken tenders, and a quesadilla (all of which tasted like hamburger grease), and drank a pitcher of Hook & Ladder.

23rd street


Larry and I discovered a street in south Arlington with tons of cute little restaurants...we went to Cafe Pizzaiolo and stuffed our faces with awesome pizza and gelato (my favorite!). As if that wasn't enough food, we then had to go watch a movie about a rat chef...
