some a-hole squirrel ate my strawberries

2010_06_25
The jerk! At least he could've eaten the whole berry instead of leaving it behind with a bite taken out of it.
Or maybe eaten one and LEFT THE OTHER ONE FOR ME.

quarantined...

...to the backyard. House was 87 degrees and while the new air conditioning was being installed, we hung out with the pups
on the patio and I entertained myself by taking pictures with my iphone.

The double lilies just bloomed:

Banjo entertained himself by catching a bird. He then had to be tied up for a while so he wouldn't eat it.
Hey, I didn't name these guys Morsel and Tidbit for nothing!

Gravy could not be bothered with caring about the bird.
He didn't even bother to leave the porch:

The bird was ok, and finally left the yard - hopefully he got back to his nest.
Banjo was released and dug himself a nice hole:

Then he lay in it:

Gravy was still unimpressed:

cujo goes to the vet

2010_06_12
Poor buddy has a horribly infected ear. He let the vet know how painful it is by screaming, growling, snarling, snapping, and HISSING.
Did you know that dogs can hiss?

how does your garden grow?

Despite my recent obsession with gardening, I haven't really posted pictures of my vegetable garden here -
perhaps because it is in an ugly corner of the yard and it is difficult to get a nice photo of it.
However, it is what it is - here, almost one month old:

And here on May 6th - the day that I planted it:
