Love my new Keens! So comfortable! And orange! I don't actually wear them with the socks though - that was just for the pic. Could be an interesting look, though.
We went down to the National Mall to check out the kite festival. It was neat, but I was sorry not to have a zoom lens to get some better photos. All those dots in the sky are kites though.
Another Etsy purchase, a print by the talented Matte Stephens. Also, this image reminds me of Sarah and her advice on how to scare off bears. (Sarah, you should do a blog post about that story.)
You might think this photo of a light-up shamrock indicates that I was at a bar celebrating St. Patrick's Day. You would be wrong. Larry was at a bar. I was at work.
We walked down by the town of Occoquan, bought pies, and stopped for crab chowder. On the way home we stopped at Occoquan Regional Park and I got some pictures of this old brick kiln.
Well people, it looks like my trusty Canon has shit the bed. It will only take pictures like the one on the left (the image on the right I edited in Photoshop). My apologies for the quality of the pictures from this point forward as I am borrowing Larry's little pocket camera to take my daily photo. On the weekends I'll break out the Nikon, though.
Walked down to the Drafthouse to see "Michael Clayton" and then picked up groceries on the way home. It's very convenient to be able to walk to the store...if only I wasn't so lazy I'd do it more often.
