wicked

We got home after midnight after seeing Wicked in Baltimore on Friday. Our day also included a boring trip to the Baltimore Museum of Art, a nap in the car, dinner at Pazo, and freezing my tits off walking around the city.

The Patterson Park Pagoda was designed by Charles Latrobe to commemorate the Battle of Baltimore (part of the War of 1812). It was completed in 1892.

foggy bottom morris men

We saw these dancers while wandering through the Torpedo Factory. The next day we had the following conversation:

Him: I figured it out. Those dancers we saw yesterday are the Foggy Bottom Morris Men. They’re not Hungarian – more Scot/English.
Me: Ah, Morris Men. I thought they said “Forest Men”.
Him: I thought I heard “Horus Men” yesterday. Wikipedia is great for helping figure things out.
Me: Hehehe, people like us are the reason misinformation gets passed along?
Him: Yep, we are the “Ministers of Misinformation.” That’s our new band name.
Me: We have a lot of bands. One of us better learn to play an instrument quick.
Him: I’m going to play the kazoo. You can play the triangle. It will be awesome.

"fur" sale

To the left of my office is this fur shop that always has really tacky and disturbing window displays. (That is in addition to the disturbing fact that they sell furs.) Also, the window says "FUR SALE" which always makes me think of "fer sale" said in a redneck accent, as in "we got them furs fer sale." To the right of my office is...another fur shop. WTF??? As far as I'm concerned, the people that sell furs belong with these mannequins...behind bars.
